One of the most important accessories for hunters is a good pair of binoculars. As it is with binoculars, so it is with scopes.
When beginning a day of binocular observations, it is tempting to leave the binocular case in the car or at the base camp and rely on neck straps or other attachment mechanisms to secure the unit. Birdwatchers use binoculars to find those fast flying rare birds as they hum through the sky. There are even pairs that are filled with nitrogen and waterproof models.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of repair. So a pair of binoculars that has the number 7x30 stamped onto the casing is a binocular that will magnify any object to seven times its actual size, and has a lens size of 30mm. Since the advent of the original coating, the technique has been refined, and there are several grades of lens coating available.
They provide a comfortable viewing, featuring sliding eyepiece cups that are easy to adjust. When you consider the cost of a single hunting trip, quality three to five hundred dollar binoculars are a great investment. When the lenses are properly covered, they cannot be damaged by airborne debris or inadvertent bumps and drops.
Get Outdoors! There is much more to astronomy then buying a telescope.
